About
Formulate is a small business run by me, Emma, in Canberra ACT. I’m a mum of two littles, one with additional needs.
I was inspired to start Formulate while navigating the world of having a child with a disability and complex health needs. The sheer number of forms I had to complete for her was overwhelming, and I found myself evaluating businesses based on the efficiency of their flow of information. Nothing annoyed me more than having to provide the same information, multiple times, across multiple platforms, often to the same organisation!
So Formulate was born, driven by a desire to help small businesses and organisations create efficiencies in exchanging information, and improving their image and presentation.
While I’m based in Canberra, I can work remotely and flexibly. I can take on a small redesign project, or ongoing administrative work. Contact me to discuss how Formulate can help you!

Do you offer ongoing support?
Absolutely! We can help with ongoing work such as invoicing and database management. Or we can set you up with templates and tools to manage yourself. The choice is yours!
Do you design websites?
Formulate is not a website or graphic design service, but we can help with business styling, such as business cards or flyers, and basic website design. For complex websites, hosting, or websites requiring online shops, we do suggest you contact a reputable web-design service.
What do your services cost?
First, we offer a free 30-minute consultation to determine your business needs. Once you’re on board, our standard rate is $45 p/hour for remote support services, but this may vary slightly depending on the task at hand. We’ll go over our exact pricing schedule with you during your free consultation.
